The Purpose of Our Work

Mama's,
People give lip service to the importance of motherhood and homemaking. But we know how much we can affect change in this world. Need a reminder of why we are doing what we do? The next time someone asks you what you do for a living, remember this:

"If the homemaker asks after the purpose of her work, the answer is:

She stands within the situations from out of which a new society will develop."

----The Spiritual Tasks of the Homemaker
Manfred Schmidt-Brabant

I love it! I STAND WITHIN THE SITUATIONS FROM OUT OF WHICH A NEW SOCIETY WILL DEVELOP.

Now off to build fairy houses with Will....

karl made tristan's swing from a piece of wood and some rope. it is string enough for our weight, so we consider it safe for tristan. the wood is drilled through so the rope can go through and it is secured with big giant knots that cant fit through the hole.

i know what you mean- some days just NEED a swing!

Okay, cool! We had a swing with a cut round piece from a log (like a disc) but the log broke in half. We'll need to make sure we get thick enough wood this time. Your swing looked contoured and all that...

Oh, JULIE! Thanks for posting that. I have been reading that page so many days now! I love it, the book, my life, our friendship. Everything!
